Games
Learning Kits
Learning kits include lesson plans, books, background materials, and interactive props to help educators teach on a variety of environmental topics. If interested in obtaining a learning kit please contact

Currently, Allied Waste provides learning kits on the following topics:
- Composting – Inform your students on composting and how it reduces waste. Identify what types of waste can be composted.
- Recycled Products – Inform and educate your students on what happens to their recyclables and why recycling is important. Teach students their personal choices are important when it comes to the environment.
- Toxicity Reduction – Inform and educate your students on the characteristics of harmful products in their home and the safe use and disposal of those materials. Students will also learn to identify alternatives to many of the unsafe products they may have in their homes.
- Waste Reduction – Inform and educate your students on the value of waste reduction and the need to conserve all types of resources.

School Field Trips
Observe recycling and household waste management in action. Students can participate in hands-on activities to learn about recycling – what it is, how to participate, and how it can affect our environment at Allied Waste’s Material Recycling Facility (MRF) in Plano.
